Our Clinical Nurses in PACU independently provide care to patients presenting for immediate recovery from various surgical procedures. Working with a dedicated team, the RN provides evidence-based, high quality care, including, but not limited to body systems assessment, airway management, fluid management, and sedation and analgesia, and serves as a resource for other team members.

Practices professional nursing at an excellent level within the Goshen nursing model of care keeping a primary focus on the patient/family using the nursing process, culturally appropriate interventions, and holistic principles with attention to continuity of care and patient advocacy, while maintaining a safe environment. Is a leader in professional nursing both in direct care and in colleague relationships using ethical principles, collaboration, peer review, evidence-based practice, and teaching & learning principles.

Minimum Education: Registered nurse with a valid Indiana State RN license.Colleagues hired with an associate degree must enter a BSN program within 12 months of hire and earn their BSN from a NLN or CCNE accredited program within 5 years of beginning their BSN degree.
Effective February 2021, Colleagues hired with an associate degree and 10 or more years of nursing experience may be exempt from entering into a BSN program.
Preferred Experience: One to two years experience related to unit of hire. Certifications Required: AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification. ACLS and PALS required within one year of hire. Certifications Preferred: CPAN, PALSWhy Goshen?
