**About the role**:

- The Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records in the warehouse. This role involves tracking inventory levels, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The clerk works closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth inventory processes._

**Responsibilities**:

- _
Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts and full physical inventories)._
- _ Record and reconcile inventory discrepancies._
- _ Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory management system._
- _ Enter inventory data accurately into the warehouse management system._
- _ Generate and distribute inventory reports to relevant departments._
- _ Monitor and report on inventory levels, making recommendations for restocking or reduction._
- _ Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy._
- _ Assist with receiving, unpacking, and inspecting goods._
- _ Ensure proper labelling and storage of received items._
- _ Inspect inventory for damage or discrepancies._
- _ Coordinate with suppliers and purchasing departments to resolve issues._
- _ Assist with the organization and optimization of the warehouse layout._
- _ Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient picking, packing, and shipping processes._
- _ Support the implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices._
- _ Adhere to safety regulations and procedures in the warehouse._
- _ Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management._
- _ Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment._

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields is a plus._
- _ Experience: Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role preferred._
- _ Proficiency in using inventory management software and systems._
- _ Strong attention to detail and accuracy._
- _ Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities._
- _ Basic math skills for inventory counts and reconciliation._
- _ Good communication and interpersonal skills._
