CNC Machinist/Operator

**Job Title**:CNC Turning Center Operator

**Reports To**:Shop Lead person

**Summary**: Responsible for the operation of the CNC Turning Centers by performing the following duties.

**Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operation of multiple CNC Turning Centers to perform a combination of machining operations such as facing, turning, boring, threading, drilling, reaming, broaching, knurling metal work pieces to specifications.
- Verifies accuracy of machined work pieces against blueprints or engineering drawings by measuring cuts with inspection tooling and gages.
- Change tools when dull and make adjustments in the offsets page when needed to achieve correct specification.
- Load bar stock or tubing in feeder tube.
- Runs secondary operations on another machine when time allows.
- Fills out production paperwork and inspection procedures.
- Maintains production completion logs.
- Reports any discrepancies to the setup man or immediate supervisor.
- Performs regular daily maintenance on equipment, tools, gages and to keep work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
