Middle School Assistant to the Student Life Office

Full-Time, Non-Exempt (12 months) Category 4

Salary Range: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Assistant to the Student Life Office entails supporting faculty, administration, and families in various capacities outlined below. This individual will play an integral role in our educational programs and actively engage in the diverse activities and events that define the ethos of our institution. Given the sensitive nature of the role, maintaining confidentiality regarding student information is paramount, necessitating a high level of discretion.

The Assistant to the Student Life Office at the middle school will support grades 4-8 in the following areas as needed including, but not limited to, the following:
**Primary Duties**:
Manage calendars and appointments for the student life and spiritual life department.

Assist in the execution of the Advisory Program.

Assist with the planning and execution of grade level retreats.

Carry out all logístical needs per request of the Student Life Office.

Interface with parents and students to schedule meetings as needed.

Manage Student Life and Parent Pages on Axis.

Create digital slides to display on campus monitors with important student announcements.

Help coordinate school newsletter announcements.

Elementary, Student Life, and Spiritual Life activities:
Between the three departments there are 15 major activities a year across Grades 4 - 8 which take place on campus.

This role would support all of those activities logístically:

- Ordering supplies
- Executing the placement of those supplies
- Coordinating with facilities
- Contacting and coordinating parent volunteers
- Coordinating food orders

**Elementary**, Student Life**,** and Spiritual Life** field trip**s** **grades 4-8**:
**Securing Permissions**: Obtain necessary approvals from stakeholders and ensure compliance with school policies.

**Transportation**: Work with transportation coordinator to arrange safe and suitable transportation for the group.

**Scheduling**: Coordinate dates and times with the destination and stakeholders.

**Budgeting**: Estimate and allocate funds for expenses such as transportation, admission fees, and meals.

**Chaperone**s**: Recruit and make chaperones aware of their supervision and safety duties for each trip. (Make sure chaperones are approved with HR)

**Communication**: Keep stakeholders informed about trip details and any changes.

**Evaluation**: Reflect on the success of the trip and identify areas for improvement.

All other duties as assigned.
