**Overview**

The Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing operations and promoting efficiency at The Organic Snack Company food manufacturing facility. This includes duties related to receiving, distribution, inventory management, and health & safety--all contributing to effective logistics and fulfillment workflows.

**Reports to: Operations Manager**

**Responsibilities**:
**Receiving (raw ingredients & packaging)**
- Prepare documentation for incoming deliveries
- Schedule deliveries & pickups as needed
- Execute the inbound & outbound freight calendar
- Monitor the truck inspection process along with QA
- Interface with QA Department for necessary ingredient testing
- Maintaining and organizing all warehouse storage areas in compliance with the food safety plan
- Enter correct data into the receiving & outbound logs

**Inventory Management**
- Working directly with the Operations Manager to report out customer inventory weekly
- Coordinate the production schedule with the warehouse for the pulling of ingredients and supplying production
- Coordinate with Fulfillment on large order projects needed to be fulfilled for TOSC customers
- Report out all finished goods made during production runs for sale to TOSC customers
- Monitor and record all finished goods inventory weekly
- Maintain an accurate best by date inventory for all finished goods
- Maintain and report out on all raw ingredients and finished product inventory levels using WMS.
- Manufacturing order management in WMS
- Manufacturing orders & pick lists
- Monitor ingredient levels in order to anticipate future pinch points
- Forecast warehouse space and plans based on the inbound freight calendar
- Track damages and total waste from production
- Inventory of warehouse supplies

**Fulfillment Support**
- Process incoming fulfillment orders through all the avenues we receive them
- ZoHo & Shopify
- SPS
- Promo/Demo & Ambassador
- Create shipping labels and prepare by category/priority for the fulfillment team
- Update the Fulfillment Supervisor when new shipping requirements arise from TOSC Customers
- Assisting in order fulfillment

**TOSC & Customer Support**
- Assist in the customer service department

**Health & Safety**
- Manage the warehouse upkeep to ensure audit readiness at all times
- Certify all operations employees and relevant employees on all fork trucks
- Follow health and safety procedures per governing bodies
- Maintain food safety cleanliness throughout the warehouse
- Ensure all team members are following safety rules

**Administrative**
- Conduct monthly facility GMP walkthroughs
- Work with the Operations Manager to conduct evaluations on team members
- Report out any damage reports
- Filling out injury reports
- Assist in reporting warehouse data
- Ingredient and packaging levels
- Interdepartmental coordination
- Log required data in the WMS system
- Order Processing
- Label creation
- Customer Service assistance
- Fulfilling orders
- Training material creation

**General**
- Manage staff resources (as directed) based on client needs
- Document all outbound shipments as required by TOSC Customers
- Pictures
- Truck seal numbers
- Understand overall company structure
- Demonstrate Leadership
- Performs all necessary training
- Following up with training
- Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism at all times
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Ensure pest, cooler, and scale checks are being done
- Make sure operations team members are set up for success
