- January 2024**JOB SUMMARY**
- Oversees the day to day coordination of arts/crafts activities and sports/games programming. Possessing good leadership skills, patience, trustworthiness,- responsibility, and enjoy working with children and other staff members is a- priority.**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY**
- Organizes supplies for site activities. Implement lesson plan for daily activities (age appropriate)
- Create themed activities
- Follow all administrative responsibilities.
- Help implement sports, tournaments, music, drama, etc.
- Working with other camp staff members to plan and coordinate camp events.
- Leading and supporting campers as they participate in age-appropriate activities.
- Monitoring campers to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents.
- Cleaning, maintaining and ensuring proper use of camp facilities and equipment.
- Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations, to parents and camp staff.
- Maintains communication with site manager, day camp director and
- assistant**OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Play and engage with the children.
- Maintains attendance of assigned group on fieldtrips and supervise children on bus and at fieldtrip site
- Greet parents and interact with them as necessary
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by site manager, day camp director and assistant

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- College graduate with education back ground preferred or high school
- graduate with minimum requirement.- At least 2 years working with children, ages 6-12, in a structured setting such as another day camp, youth groups, boy/girl scout leader, day care leader, etc.
- Knowledge of games and art activities
- Ability to “switch up” if a current plan is not receptive.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
- Must be an excellent problem solver and solve issues in a timely manner.
- Must be able to discipline appropriately and mediate situations.
- Must be friendly, active, and like to interact and play with children of all ages.
- Support others through teamwork, dedication and guidance in order to achieve the completion a task or activity.
- Must have complete knowledge, or proven ability to learn, the rules and regulations of the city program and Child Safety Policy.
