The Proposals Associate assists the proposal team in preparing each proposal from conception through submission by determining the proposal layout, gathering, analyzing and formatting information, writing drafts, coordinating meetings, and seeking the appropriate approval for content. The Proposals Associate needs to become familiar with all the requirements of the customer’s RFP/RFI, and ensure that all requirements are being addressed by the proposal team. The Proposals Associate will support the proposal activity by working with the assigned Proposal Writer and the Proposal Specialist to complete all necessary tasks for each proposal. The Proposals Associate will coordinate and support the proposal review process with the sales, project management and systems engineering organizations. Ultimately, the Proposals Associate will understand and review the entire proposal package, and assist with preparation, printing, and assembly.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Reading and studying Requests for Proposal (RFPs), attending bid-board and strategy meetings, and creating a list of key items that require a response
- Prepares relevant proposal information by updating library content and participates in meetings to advance the proposal as required
- Assists the Proposal Writer in reviewing and outlining the proposal to meet the RFP requirements and ensures the proposal clearly addresses the evaluation criteria, special requirements, and complying with all the specifications within the RFP
- Reviews all RFP documents and addenda to capture impact to the requirements
- Comes up with questions to submit to the agency for each RFP to clarify requirements
- Participates in all aspects of the proposal process including analyzing RFP/RFQ requirements, writing non-technical portions, editing and organization of materials and ensuring compliance with Clever Devices’ corporate standards as well as participating in debriefs
- Participates in pricing discussions and meetings
- Assists the Proposal Specialist in maintaining and updating library content and tracking sheets
- Maintains quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases
- Performs quality control reviews of proposal documents and assists in final printing, production, and shipment

**Skills Required**:

- Strong organizational skills
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a comprehensive manner; ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Project, Visio, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as ability to learn new software programs
- Exceptional written, presentation, interpersonal and communications skills
- Creative problem solving
