**General Information**:
The School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) advances JMU's vision to be the national model for the engaged university by responding to individual, business, and community needs through transformative educational programs and experiences. The Enrollment Specialist works with the SPCE marketing and recruitment team to follow-up, track, cultivate, and support prospective students, specifically for SPCE's Adult Degree Program.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Enrollment Specialist will work with the School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) to recruit and retain student in the assigned programs; this position will focus on the overall enrollment and recruitment strategies, systems, and processes for SPCE, including the online Adult Degree Program/Bachelor of Individualized Study.
Essential Job Functions:

- Develop a robust understanding of the online Adult Degree Program and online noncredit professional development programs.
- Execute effective recruitment strategies to attract and enroll a diverse pool of prospective students.
- Help implement the enrollment and recruiting strategy for the Adult Degree Program.
- Partner with Admissions and other key stakeholders to drive this strategy.
- Provide and manage data on recruitment and yield activities; analyze data for effectiveness and provide recommendations for further development of recruiting strategy and data management with a focus on improving the process.
- Partner closely with third-party advertising vendor and SPCE marketing and leadership teams to manage digital marketing campaigns, monitoring their effectiveness, and optimizing ad spend.
- Develop and maintain process maps for recruitment and marketing processes and communication flow.
- Identify and create new communication to move prospective students through the funnel. - Monitor and evaluate the impact of communications.
- **Qualifications**:

- Experience with supporting online adult learners and nontraditional students
- Strong customer service orientation, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong follow-up, problem solving and time-management skills
- Familiarity with CRM and online communication tools
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong persuasive skills with the ability to positively influence and motivate others
- Ability to identify and articulate new business opportunities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to analyze situations to enhance communication and relationship building
- Ability to balance a drive to meet enrollment goals with the brand/reputation of the university, SPCE, and assigned programs
- Demonstrated ability to build and foster relationships with a wide range of people and a demonstrated commitment to diversity
- Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule with flexible hours
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities (anticipating challenges, viable alternatives, successful resolutions, etc.).

- Proficient in MS Office Suite and applicant tracking systems
