**Financial Control & Accounting Sub-Regional Lead**
**Location: Plainsboro, NJ**
**Place of Work: Hybrid**
Financial Control & Accounting Sub-Regional Lead manages a team of financial control and accounting professionals in North America and is responsible for key stakeholder management, and driving key projects to success. You will ensure alignment and integration of financial activities across entities, facilitate and manage change, build and foster Business Unit and cross-functional relationships, and develop talent. **Your key responsibilities**
- Lead and manage the sub-regional team and related portfolio of entities to achieve business objectives
- Develop and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and objectives are achieved
- Lead and participate in strategic projects. Develop and implement financial control strategy for the sub-regional portfolio in collaboration with Leadership Team
- Serve as a change agent and be a force for proposition and implementation to drive transformational initiatives, enhance financial processes, systems, and controls across the sub-region and region. Be a culture champion.
- Monitor financial performance of portfolio entities and provide insights and recommendations for action/improvement to the Lead and other stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in the team.
- This position is eligible for the DSM Hybrid Working model, spending 2 days per week in the Plainsboro, NJ office and the balance of the week in a home office. You must reside in a geography that is commutable via car to Plainsboro for weekly in-office collaboration days._

**You bring**
- Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in financial control, accounting, and analysis with strong knowledge of financial control processes, IFRS principles and financial analysis; budgeting, and forecasting required
- Proven experience in leading and managing sizeable finance teams required with demonstrated success managing and developing teams
- Demonstrated track record of achieving financial targets, improving financial processes, and delivering results in a complex and dynamic business environment, with competency working in a matrixed organization
- SAP ECC/S4 Hana Experience
- Excellent communicator; strategic thinking; problem solver; project and change management
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent license preferred
