**THE POSITION**:
**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:
DGS BRE manages the Commonwealth’s Owned and Leased Real Estate portfolio, Real Estate Acquisitions and Dispositions, as well as Real Estate Space Management across all Commonwealth Agencies. This position is in the Division of Real Estate Services and will provide support in the management of the GIS functions and related technical systems utilized by DGS BRE and all other Commonwealth Agencies to manage their Real Estate portfolio and related processes. This is an amazing opportunity to work not only with the DGS BRE team, but to work with members across all Commonwealth Agencies.

As a Geospatial Specialist 2 within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of General Services (DGS), Bureau of Real Estate (BRE), your position encompasses a range of responsibilities related to mapping the Commonwealth's land and building inventory and ensuring the integrity and accessibility of geospatial data.

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- ** Telework**:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, with three in office days per month in coordination with other Divisions. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- ** Salary**:_ _**In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- One year as a Geospatial Specialist 1 (commonwealth title); **or**:

- One year of technical experience utilizing geospatial programs to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, maintain, and present geospatial data; and an associate’s degree in geographic information systems, geography, geospatial technology, cartography, computer science, natural science, or related STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) field, including or supplemented by six (6) credits in geospatial coursework; **or**:

- An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes or is supplemented by six (6) credits in geospatial coursework.
