- Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Forensic Mental Health Clinician for CSL Parole Board, located in Trenton, New Jersey. The Forensic Mental Health Clinician supervises unit interns, trainees and staff as assigned; independently completes specialized psychological testing and assessment of clinical needs of adults sentenced to the Department of Corrections, recognizing the unique needs and behaviors of adult and seniors; arrives at diagnoses with precision and accuracy; develops treatment plans based on assessment that outlines preferred treatment modality; assesses and makes referrals for higher levels of care as appropriate; and skilled in in providing crisis intervention, group, and individual therapies.
Duties include:

- Provides direct clinical supervision to psychology interns, trainees and staff as assigned
- Provides psychological testing and evaluations of referred adult inmates/patients
- As assigned, provides crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy & psycho-educational programming as clinically indicated to assigned inmates/patients.
- As assigned, assumes overall case management responsibilities for assigned inmates/patients including coordination of treatment and liaison with community agencies as measured by supervisory observation and record review.
- Maintains appropriate inmate/patient records in a timely manner as mandated by UCHC policy
