**THE POSITION**:
**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:

- In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact closely with private companies, private development corporations, small businesses, and the general public. This will involve conducting reviews and maintaining close contact with these stakeholders during the preliminary stage of projects. Your main responsibility will be to assist the Permit Project Engineer in collecting information about the existing conditions of roadways for documentation purposes. This will primarily be focused on extensive Highway Occupancy Permit Projects, such as sewer projects or water main installations.-

- **Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Vendor-controlled position; flex schedule.
- ** Telework**:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Dunmore.
- ** Salary**:_ _**In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- One year as an Engineering Technician (commonwealth title); **or**:

- Two years as a Transportation Technician or Construction Cost Technician 1 (commonwealth titles); **or**:

- Three years of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; **or**:

- Three years of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; **or**:

- One year of construction inspection experience, and an associate degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; **or**:

- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

**Special Requirement**:

- This position requires possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License or equivalent.
