**As a Clinician - Assessment, you will**:

- Conduct phone screenings and pre-screen walk-in clients for appropriate services.
- Determine diagnosis and/or a change in diagnosis from current diagnosis from DSM, if assigned.
- Conduct collateral interviews as indicated.
- Develop service plans and participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
- Provide crisis intervention as appropriate.
- Attend treatment team meetings to communicate discharge plans in progress.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to arrange continuing care provider medication maintenance appointments in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the completion of reports/documents needed for entitlement/benefit programs.

**Additional Qualifications and Skills**
- High level of ability to accurately diagnose using the DSM criteria
- High level of ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure
- Those with experience in a walk-in outpatient-based mental health program encouraged to apply
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not required
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
- Able to pass criminal/background clearance

Areta Crowell Wellness Recovery Center is one of our Adult Outpatient programs (AOP), which provide behavioral health services including psychiatric and clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing medication services, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, mobile outreach, vocational support, peer support and older adult outreach. We deliver fully integrated services to adult clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance use disorders.

All of our outpatient programs also provide full-time walk-in services. Our programs utilize evidence-based practices to assist our clients in reaching their goals and to live the highest quality of life while managing their mental illness.

CRF staff members work together to meet the needs of San Diego County's residents who are experiencing mental/behavioral health challenges.
