Overview:
Join a dynamic and diverse team dedicated to serving older adults. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in culturally sensitive practices while honing your clinical skills in a supportive environment. You will receive comprehensive supervision, including one-on-one and group sessions, from experienced professionals in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and triage for walk-in clients.
  • Complete behavioral health assessments and client care plans.
  • Perform regular mental health evaluations.
  • Manage a caseload of 35-40 clients.
  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, including evaluations for hospitalizations.
  • Facilitate case management and family support services.
  • Assist clients in achieving vocational, educational, and housing goals.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and psychiatrists as necessary.
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary team for treatment planning.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure timely billing.
  • Engage with community members for referrals and follow-ups.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities and treatment team meetings.
  • Oversee outreach initiatives and after-hours support.
  • Supervise and train junior staff and para-professionals.
  • Assist in program compliance and preparation for audits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • Current licensure to practice in the relevant field.

Experience:
  • Minimum of two years in a clinical mental health setting.
  • Experience with older adult populations and supervisory roles preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychotherapy principles and community mental health practices.
  • Understanding of cultural competency in mental health service delivery.
  • Proficient in DSM-V diagnostic criteria.
  • Familiarity with community resources and case management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Work Environment:
This position involves a mix of sitting, standing, and walking, with the majority of time spent in an office setting. The role requires effective communication and the ability to engage with clients in various settings. Regular office conditions apply, with moderate noise levels.
