**The Organization**
Francophone Charter School of Oakland is a French immersion charter school that opened its doors in 2015. Our mission is to provide a dual-immersion curriculum to a diverse community of students and to develop bilingual and bi-literate global citizens who are open minded and who value intellectual curiosity, personal integrity and creativity.
**Summary of Position**
The Operations Manager is critical to the successful and efficient operation of our school. The Operations Manager works closely with the Director of Operations to lead all non-instructional functions of the school, enabling the instructional staff to focus on student achievement.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Duties of this position include but are not limited to:_
- School Nutrition Program_
- With support from the Director of Operations, collect lunch forms, train and oversee servers, work with vendor to ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals, prepare and submit accurate monthly claims.
- Student Enrollment, Attendance & Data Systems_
- With support from the Director of Operations, manage enrollment cycle, admissions and enrollment database-including student recruitment, lottery and waitlist management.
- Manage student information system and related platforms; work with office managers to submit monthly attendance reporting.
- Technology_
- Create and update school website
- Work with IT company to maintain inventory of school technology equipment
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with IT company
- Facilities_
- Manage routine maintenance requests for the school, ensuring maintenance, janitorial and pest control services are properly carried out
- Oversee the upkeep of the school's facilities with support and guidance from the Director of Operations.
- Plan and coordinate logistics for school events and activities as needed, including back to school nights and parent conferences/meetings; coordinate with bus companies for field trip transportation.
- Student Health and Safety_
- Manage school safety processes and compliance, including supporting with administering trainings, coordinating drills and safety audits, acting as the liaison with the fire department
- Partner with the Leadership Team to respond to emergencies
- Complete projects and perform other duties as assigned._
**Requirements**:
- Experience with data management systems required
- Two or more years of experience in an office environment, preferably an education-related organization
- Outstanding computer skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with data analysis
- Excellent skills of organization and follow-through
- Ability to work under pressure and tight timetables
- Experience managing others preferred
