**Description**:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk performs duties relating to the receipt, distribution, and tracking of incoming material and equipment and the dispatch of outgoing shipments. The position reports directly to the Driver Sub-Foreperson.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Unload or assist in unloading equipment/material from trailers and/or trucks. Scan packages, check incoming equipment/material for visible damage, and check shipments against shipping labels/requisitions to ensure accuracy of quantity and description of goods ordered. Sign freight bill of Bill of Lading and take possession of equipment and/or material. Prepare paperwork associated with the receipt and distribution of the equipment/material. Contact customers to arrange pickup/deliveries. Handle and deliver sensitive/expensive equipment and dry ice materials. Coordinate deliveries with vendors (UPS, FedEx).
- Deliver or ensure the delivery of equipment and/or material to appropriate departments around campus. Maintain files of shipments received and delivered.
- Prepare weight bills for outgoing shipments and paperwork associated with equipment and/or material returned for credit. Assist with annual inventory.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications Required**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
- Forklift/pallet jack operation experience
- Knowledge of computers, package handling. Operation of package scanning device.
- To perform at a satisfactory level, the incumbent must be able to read, write and follow instructions, and be able to make arithmetical computations.
