**HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR MISSION**:

- With the Director of Philanthropy, Annual & Planned Giving, support the team's annual fundraising goal and meet annual revenue targets by stewarding and advancing relationships with a portfolio of donors and prospects that may include individuals, family foundations, businesses, corporations and organizations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop communications and content for mid-level donors.
- Support the creation and implementation of a donor pipeline building process.
- Help plan and implement donor-focused events.
- Help manage your portfolio using relevant technology.
- Pursue all of the above objectives in alignment with our core values.

**TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE**:

- ** A demonstrated ability to solicit 4-5 figure gifts. **You are someone who consistently prioritizes meeting portfolio goals. You have a high level of emotional intelligence and can build strong relationships with donors through your sense of curiosity.
- ** A collaborative and flexible working style**. You excel at interfacing and collaborating with peers internally on the Philanthropy team and seek out collaboration with other teams to best engage your donors.
- ** The ability to segment portfolios and produce targeted communications.** You have strong writing skills and can write with a sense of urgency that compels a donor to give.
- A demonstrated ability to plan, support, and coordinate webinars, online events and in-person meetings and events.
- ** A deep knowledge of techniques and best practices in annual giving. **You stay current with best practices in fundraising. You can handle donor data while respecting confidentiality. As a strategic and systems thinker, you can implement efficiencies and build out processes effortlessly.
- ** A strong technical proficiency. **You must be able to document in the donor management system/CRM. Working with the Donor Services Manager, you can create automations in the CRM. You have strong working competency with Google Suite and Microsoft 365.

**WORKING CONDITIONS AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS**

Rainforest Trust is a remote first organization and the incumbent will be expected to work primarily from home with an excellent internet connection, though part-time office space may be available in Warrenton, VA and/or Washington DC.

Up to 20%. Occasional national and/or international travel may be required for donor meetings, organizational meetings and other events.
