Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing all facets of financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring the precision and promptness of all transactions.
  • Analyze and monitor accounting data, prepare monthly and annual financial reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Support the budgeting process and management activities.
  • Facilitate month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax obligations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual assessments.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team.
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting as necessary.
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing for all staff using our designated payroll system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting or financial management roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (such as QuickBooks and/or Intact); advanced Excel skills are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Exhibit integrity and professionalism when managing confidential information.
