**Duties**:
The Maintenance Worker performs various duties in the zone, including general maintenance and repair work involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance.

**In this position, you will**:

- Perform general maintenance repairs, construction, and various other manual task activities.
- Carry out demolition/construction or repair of walls, floors, partitions, cases, and other structures in exhibition areas and staff work areas; carry out repair or altering of items and structures such as doors, panels, and furniture (tables, shelves, and cabinets).
- Carry out electrical repairs, i.e., lighting fixtures, within the exhibit or office space areas; removes, replaces, tightens, splices, solders, and insulates defective wiring, controls, equipment, and fixtures.
- May be required to carry out plumbing repairs by removing and replacing defective parts of utility, supply, and disposal systems, such as sections of broken tile pipe and leaky drains.
