**Job Summary**:
Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. This position will report to the warehouse manager. You will Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations regarding and, at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

**Essential Functions**:

- Direct supervision of 25 to 30 employees across 2 shifts.
- You will maintain and enforce safe work practices.
- Select and hire employees and provide on-going performance monitoring. Establish and implement employee training and development programs and schedules.
- You will implement company policies and procedures with respect to disciplinary policies.
- Perform resource planning requirements and scheduling of work hours and time off requests.
- You will administer and maintain employee time at work records and systems.
- Communicate daily production requirements and set targets based upon capacity.
- Plan and coordinate production order transitions and inventory transactions within the Plant between shifts and between manufacturing departments.
- Communicate production order status, warehouse daily priorities and results at frequent intervals.
- Accountable for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement objectives.
- Lead continuous improvement projects, i.e. Kaizen events, A3 Projects.
- Understand and maintain complex manufacturing order management systems related to material movement.

**Other Key Functions**:

- Facilitate warehousing teams toward the achievement of business and customer objectives.
- Coach and train teams in the philosophy of continuous improvement and waste reduction concepts.
- Foster an environment that instills pride by all employees. Evaluate employee performance on a continual basis and provide continuous performance feedback.
- Develop a motivated employee base through rewards and recognition linked to accomplishments.
- Provide leadership in the support of best practices and compliance to procedures and specifications.

- Develop resource plans based upon individual work cell order demand rates.
- Understand operating budgetary controls.
- Utilize tools as part of Lean Six Sigma based continuous improvement philosophy.

**The Essentials: You will have**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

**The Preferred: You might also have**
- Four year bachelor's degree in production & operations, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, inventory, or related discipline.
- Minimum of two years manufacturing related experience.
- Working knowledge of capacity and production planning tools and techniques.
- Leadership of flexible work teams.
- Customer service or technical support involvement.
- SAP business system knowledge.
- LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
