Job Summary

As a Food Unit Lead with Compass Group, North America, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences to our customers. This position requires a strong leader who can coordinate the activities of food-service employees, oversee food preparation and service, and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide one-on-one attention to detail to ensure a positive dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors.
  • Food Preparation and Service: Oversee and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
  • Menu Planning: Help plan menus that meet the needs and preferences of our customers.
  • Meal Service: Ensure timely and efficient meal service, supervising the serving of meals and responding to customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Employee Training and Development: Train employees, assign and coordinate work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service, and determine work procedures to ensure smooth operations.
  • Cash Handling and Inventory Management: Responsible for proper cash handling and inventory management, including ordering food and supplies from approved sources.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Direct and participate in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees, ensuring compliance with company standards and government regulations.
Requirements:
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Healthcare food service experience required.
