Description:
The Accounting Assistant provides support to the Controller with various accounting responsibilities.

**Responsibilities not limited to**:
1. Assist in preparing the Company budget
- Proactively collect necessary information for the preparation and maintenance of the Company's annual budget.
- Ensure timely distribution of budget information to Department managers

2. Support the preparation of and maintenance of accounting responsibilities
- Prepare and record accounts payable/receivable and cash disbursement and receipts.
- Review, process, input and post invoices to the system
- Process cash receipts and credit card payments
- Backup Accounts Receivable invoicing
- Review open Accounts Payable invoices reports and propose a schedule of payments or adjustments

3. Collections
- Contact customers to resolve collections issues for delinquent invoices
- Research and facilitate resolution of outstanding receivables

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Mastery in Microsoft Excel - Pivot Tables/Macros/Formulas etc.
- Knowledge of accounting systems and principles

**Competencies**
- Detail oriented
- Consistently accurate
- Ability to prioritize
- Proven verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills

**Requirements**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- 3 years college in Accounting
- 2 year office experience
- Experience working in an accounting function is a plus
