**Job Summary**:
Gas GIS Ops is transforming their business capabilities utilizing Esri Utility Network. We are seeking a Junior GIS Technical Specialist to join our team. As a GIS Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintain our Gas Distribution infrastructure.

You will collaborate with various departments such as front-line field operations and Gas constructions, Reporting and Analytical team, Utility technologies as well as Asset Strategy.

As an entry level position, work will be performed under supervision of the GIS supervisor.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and maintain the GIS connected model with information on gas facilities from sources including, but not limited to, work management systems, as-built construction drawings and LocusView
- Assist with GIS field collection processes utilizing Survey123, ArcGIS Field Maps, Locusview, Salesforce or other related data collection technologies.
- Assemble data and prepare maps from asset information contained in the connected model and various other data sources.
- Perform system testing for enhancements/issues.
- Carry out spatial analysis tasks.
- Participate in field visits for LocusView training and troubleshooting with bargaining unit personnel.
- Process improvement including development, deployment, and periodic reviews.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and possess the ability to use it productively.
- Perform field visit and technical support.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicles in the state of New Jersey.
- Ability to travel and visit field using personnel vehicles.
- Safety sensitive position. D.O.T. Testing is required.
- Engage in with emergency response activities (e.x storm/Flood restoration)

- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and possess the ability to use it productively (Power Point, Excel & MS word)
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Additional training or specialty in drawing and drafting techniques
- Must have excellent teamwork and organization skills
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license
