**JOB PURPOSE**:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating activities in either the Mattress Production Department or Sewing Production Department. This role involves planning, organizing, and overseeing manufacturing processes to ensure the timely and efficient production of high-quality products.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Direct responsibility for proper use of resources in their areas, employees, machinery and materials, including training matrix for employees
- Accountable and responsible for safety, quality, productivity and other KPMs in assigned areas.
- Responsible for reviewing production orders or schedules to understand product specifications, quantities, and delivery dates for planning department operations.
- Responsible for establishing priorities, and sequence manufacturing processes with Planning and expeditors.
- Execute operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure the production and quality of products meet specifications.
- Responsible for creating and review hour by hour Production reports to verify adherence to plans and take timely actions.
- Review production and operating reports, resolving operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and prevent delays.
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and utilization.
- Revise production schedules and priorities due to equipment failure or operating problems.
- Develop or revise standard operational practices, observe workers to ensure compliance, and resolve worker grievances.
- Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
- Attend daily production meetings with the Plant Manager and other production supervisors to ensure production demands are met.
- Responsible for Area layout and new equipment installation
- Responsible for 5s and Lean in the areas of responsibility.
- Other related duties may be assigned.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

**Education and/or Experience**
bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; preferably Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Language Skills**
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Pay: $64,480.00 - $73,000.00 per year
