**Position Overview**: This position is an individual contributor role and a member of the Plant Manufacturing Operations Team. Reporting to the Manager of Production Planning and possibly matrixed to other functional leaders within Manufacturing Operations, the Production Planner prepares and executes production plans, coordinates and expedites workflow across departments, and resolves day-to-day operational issues to support the overall manufacturing business plan.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Production Planning and Scheduling**:

- Ensure the delivery of daily production requirements to meet customer commitments.
- Create production schedules and align priorities with commercial requirements.
- Daily maintenance and management of the scheduling system to support operations.
- Ensure achievement of manufacturing commitments versus delivery.
- Maintain the production schedule and other business reports as required.
- Analyze and prepare documents needed for production planning and execution.
- Plan for raw material availability in conjunction with the procurement team and ensure timely quality control (QC) releases.
- Follow up with all teams to expedite execution and documentation to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
- Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
- Interact with shop floor management daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing plan execution.

**Capacity Management**:

- Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production team, coordinating internally and externally to resolve these issues.
- Provide support for planning and executing new product launches.
- Develop and maintain capacity calculations for the plant based on product mix.
- Support the review of new business opportunities.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, industrial engineering, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or a related field from an accredited college/university.
- A master’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation and work environment.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Ability to influence decision-making and facilitate work completion towards achieving business plans and goals.
- Effective interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in the English language, including usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Must be a self-starter with initiative, seeking additional training or direction as needed.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
- Must be able to communicate both technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to employees working on the shop floor.
- Ability to partner, facilitate, and collaborate with employees and managers across a diverse organization.
- Must be able to adapt to change and ambiguity.
- Must be proactive and able to work under general supervision with an orientation towards both tactical and strategic execution.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Standing and lifting as needed.
- Must be able to travel between Company units.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
