We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our team You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
- Front Office Responsibilities:_
- **Opening and Closing of Office**:

- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Check faxes and distribute to providers and staff accordingly
- Receive and schedule incoming referrals
- effectively check in and out patients
- Helping in maintaining and regularly updating office manuals
- Pre-Register and Enter patients’ demographics into EMR
- Verify insurance through EMR days prior and day of
- Upload/Scan medical documentation into patients’ chart
- Verify and fix provider schedule efficiently
- Responsible for checking in baskets and routing messages
- Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Back Office Responsibilities:_
- Escort and Triage patients to exam rooms
- Take Vital signs (BP, Pulse, Oximeter, and Temperature)
- Prepare Injection trays
- Administer patient injections/assist provider with injections, document the procedures efficiently
- Schedule patients follow up visit, labs, etc.
- Keep track of inventory/supplies and incoming medications/samples
- Sanitize and stock exam rooms at beginning of shift, after each patient, and at end of the day
- Scanning of checkout sheets and other documents into patients’ chart
- Documenting Telephone encounters
- Pend and route medications for refills
- Ability to order future labs with proper diagnosis as indicated by provider
- Ensure that all appropriate tests, clinical information, and order entries are ready for provider review prior to office visit
- Qualifications:_
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
- 2 or more years’ experience as an active Medical Assistant
- Able to multitask effectively, work independently, team player, ready to help colleagues and prioritize duties well
- Familiarity with prior authorizations and insurances and prior authorization of medications and procedures
- Strong organizational skills, great communication skills, dependable and self motivated
- Required:_
- 2 or more years’ experience in **EMR**:

- Medical Assistant Certification
- Current CPR/BLS/AED card
- High school Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Drive
- Self-motivated, organized, strong will to learn, able to learn from constructive criticism and multi-task in high demand.
- Dependable, professional, self motivated, wiling to learn, help and teach
- Seeking long term and serious permanent professional medical assistants who can also make decisions on their own based on office standards

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 36 per week
