**Job Title**:Out of School Time Program (OSTP) Coordinator

**Salary**: $24,000-$30,000

**Location**: Washington, DC

**Description**: The Out of School Time Program (OSTP) Coordinator creates an inviting, stimulating, safe, and nurturing learning environment for students supporting their growth and development and will develop, supervise, and manage the out-of-school time program, all Saturday School enrichment and intersession programming. S/He will conduct training and meetings with identified staff as necessary to ensure a quality program. S/he is responsible for the management of the following areas: OSTP to include Extended Day, Saturday School, and Intersessions.

**Detailed Description of Duties and Responsibilities**:
**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.**

**Out-of-School Time Program (Extended Day, Intersession, Saturday School)**:

- Oversee the general organization, management, and scheduling of an OSTP program that is in keeping with the mission and pedagogy of WSG, promotes quality participation of WSG students, and is guided by the principles of advancing youth development and leadership
- Schedule a variety of educational options that will take place across both campuses as directed by the Director of Student and Graduate Success. These may include independent learning time, tutoring, arts education, STEAM/STEM, sports, and other clubs to include after school, intersession, Saturday School, and data-wise Mondays.
- Extended Day - 4 days a week (M-Th)
- Intersession - 1 week in the fall, 1 week in the spring, 2 weeks in the summer (M - F, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
- Saturday School - 9 Scheduled Saturdays within a school year 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
- Assure that all Middle School students at WSG are enrolled in and attend at least one semester of participation in one of the Arts programs at THEARC.
- Oversee the maintenance of all records and data pertaining to grant funding sources
- Actively seek out partnerships with organizations and volunteers to schedule club and enrichment programming for students.
- Manage program partnerships, organizations, and OSTP volunteers under the direction of the Director of Student and Alumni Success regularly to gain knowledge of student progress, special needs, and aptitudes of students
- Communicate with families regularly to gain knowledge of interest in programming.
- Manage attendance of all staff and students in the OSTP and Intersession program
- Meet and collaborate with the OSTP staff as needed to run an effective program
- Assess student learning/engagement and evaluate the program’s success to monitor program effectiveness.
- Serve as lead administrator during OSTP hours, assure students are actively engaged in enrichment activities and provide support and redirection as needed to ensure a positive learning environment; refer students to Deans and Principal in accordance with WSG discipline policies.

**Communication**:

- Facilitate and promote all Out-Of-School Time Programming
- Contribute to the weekly Family Newsletter
- Encourage families to volunteer and identify opportunities for parent involvement throughout the program

**Education Requirements**:Bachelor’s Degree preferred in applicable field of program administration, education or related field.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**: Supervise personnel of OSTP

**Accountable to**: Director of the Office of Student and Graduate Success

**Regular Hours**: Monday
- Friday 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturdays 8:30 am - 2:00 pm, and 8:30 am - 3:30 pm during intersession program weeks

*Hours can be adjusted when students are not present, advance approval is required.
