**Hight Logistics is seeking a Dispatcher to join our team. We are a mid-sized logistics company specializing in port drayage.**

**Job Summary**:
The Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching carriers (LMC’s, employee Drivers, and/or other outside carriers) and ensure that data is timely & accurately entered into company's TMS. Maintain communication with Dispatch and CSR teams to verify and resolve customer and/or shipper customer service issues. Monitor containers to avoid per diem by ensuring that all equipment is returned to the port accordingly to minimize any loss of revenue.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- _Work with the LA and Long Beach Ports to make appointments for container pick-ups and delivery._
- _Routing and monitoring drivers._
- _Communicate with customers, potential customers, owner-operators, and core carrier._
- _Monitor the location of the fleet using system tracking or calling drivers for check calls._
- _Manage equipment, including chassis and containers._
- _Collaborating with management to modify activities to accommodate customer needs._
- _Maintain proper records and ensure information is executed correctly and on time._
- _Communicate/update Manager/CSR’s on daily progress, challenges, changes, issues, and all other matters; to include, daily/shift turn over; sending daily rollover/recap report._

- High school diploma or equivalent._
- At least two years related experience preferred._

**Physical Requirements**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer._

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
