**Job Summary**:
The Student Assistant will support the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art as a Graphic Design Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Summer 2024..
**Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Develops and designs informative, creative and engaging marketing assets Maintains the quality of the University and BFSDoArt brands through the positive promotion of our programs, services, faculty, staff and facilities.
- Designs logos, flyers, posters, and ads for events and promotions.
- Creates graphic elements for use on social media and the website.
- Distributes BFSDoArt printed materials.
- Takes digital photographs at special events and functions.
**Shift Specifics**
- Up to 20 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
- Shifts available; Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
**Required Qualifications**:
**Educational Requirements**
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
**Preferred Education**
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a relevant Communications field
**Preferred Experience**
- Prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop Basic understanding of Apple computers
**Proposed Salary**:
$10.00 per hour
**_This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis._**
