**JOB OVERVIEW**:
A full-time Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position is open in the Neurodisparities and Health Justice Research Group under the direction of Dr. Altaf Saadi at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The vision of the lab is to advance health equity and justice both within neurology and health care more broadly by targeting evolving social and structural determinants of health, with a focus on immigrants, forcibly displaced persons, incarcerated persons, and other persons from marginalized backgrounds. This work is facilitated by engaging with community partners and practitioners across disciplines and sectors. Fellows must have an MD, PhD or other terminal/equivalent degree is required in a relevant discipline. Fellows can be (1) physicians who would participate during research years within their residency or fellowship training; (2) physicians or other clinicians who have completed their clinical training and wish to do a research fellowship; and (3) non-clinicians who have completed a doctoral degree but have not yet been appointed to a full-time faculty position.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED**:
This position requires independence, effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, multi-tasking, organization, ability to work and adapt to a high-demand research environment, and ability to work with marginalized patient groups.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
The applicant will be expected to play an informal role in mentoring trainees in research.
