**Duties**:

- You will serve as the Portfolio Manager at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) within the Portfolio Directorate (Customer Advocate Office).
- You will provide leadership and supervision for Customer Advocates, Technical Project Managers, Program Analysts, and others professional and technical personnel assigned to the Portfolio Directorate.
- You will be responsible for the workload acceptance and execution process including customer negotiations, defining tasks, funds allocation to the line departments, progress reporting, and deliverables.
- You will act as the principal Command representative to external stakeholders for the coordination and collaboration of projects
- You will perform supervisory responsibilities, such as: assignment of work, technical oversight, development of performance plans, evaluation of work performance, interviewing and hiring.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

**Qualifications**:

- Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, **NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) **in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following**:providing direction or guidance in the execution of work efforts related to projects involving energetics or energetic systems.**
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
