**Heritage Prairie Farm in Elburn, IL **is looking for a seasonal Farmer’s Market Associate for the 2024 season. We are a small, certified organic farm that specializes in vegetables, microgreens, weddings, and private events.

**Farmer’s Market Associate**

As the Farmer’s Market Associate you will share in the following responsibilities:

- Transportation of supplies and produce to markets - this can include setting up tables, canopies, coolers, signage, stocking products, and making the market site ready for sales in a timely and organized fashion
- Set up and breakdown of market booth
- Sales and distribution of produce
- Processing credit/debit card and cash payments
- Provide basic knowledge of product and ability to answer customer questions
- Facilitating CSA and online order pickups at market
- Maintaining opening and closing inventory
- Performs other tasks assigned by Ownership

**Qualifications**:

- Passion for horticulture and basic knowledge of Heritage Prairie Farm produce
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Weekend availability: Friday evenings June-October 12PM-8PM and Saturday mornings, April - November 6th 6AM-3PM.
- Must be able to lift and carry 20+ pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, kneel, bend, and lift
- Professional and positive attitude and communication skills
- Must be willing to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
- Previous experience working with plants or outdoors is appreciated but not required
- Retail and cash handling experience
