Position Summary

There is a possibility for additional hours (limit is 20 hours per week, dependent on other roles held within Columbia University) depending on project needs.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- conducting statistical review of data sets and data analysis;
- supporting survey preparation and implementation;
- conducting data cleaning, preparation and building statistical models, preferably using SAS or R;
- helping with data management;
- assisting with literature reviews, grant, manuscript, and presentation preparation;
- participating in research-related meetings;
- performing other related duties as assigned.

This position is grant funded and continued employment will be contingent upon the grant.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s diploma or equivalent and a currently enrolled student at Columbia University.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of/experience working in biostatistics;
- Proficiency with R, especially R functions, loops, and iterations;
- Experience with research projects
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Possessing of data management, analytical and writing skills;
- Solid experience with data management.
- A biostatistics background and/or experience with health-related research is highly preferred. A master’s degree in a related field (complete or in progress) is highly preferred. Working knowledge of social network analysis packages such as igraph, Statnet, and ERGM modeling is a plus.
