**Position Summary**:
The 21CCLC Program Youth Violence Prevention Specialist is responsible for providing violence prevention, social-emotional development education, and fun activities to high school level youth enrolled in the 21st Century Community Learning Center after school program.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide evidence-based violence prevention curricula to youth in grades 9th -through 12th enrolled in the 21CCLC Afterschool Program
- Plan and lead prevention projects, national campaigns, social norm activities, and fun activities.
- Serve as a mentor to children, teens, and young adults.
- Plan and lead fun alternative activities for youth in the partnered schools and in the community to encourage the prevention of risky behaviors.
- Provide summer programming to youth through partnerships with local religious institutions, libraries, park & recreation centers, and/or youth serving community agencies.
- Engage participants in lessons and activities that will foster personal growth and development of life skills.
- Escort and supervise youth on occasional field trips.
- Attend and represent ADAC at community events.
- Gather data for required documentation and submit in a timely manner.
- Other duties within reason may be added as deemed necessary by the Lead Staff to ensure quality services.

**Education, Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required**
- High degree or GED Equivalent
- Experience working with a diverse population in an urban environment is preferred.
- Good classroom management skills.
- Great communication and creative and engaging presentation skills.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
