Requirements:
Education/Experience: Bachelors degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college/university with a preferred concentration in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Communications, Public Affairs, Public Administration, or related field of study and four (4) to six (6) years of related experience preferably in a related non
- Rofit environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. CFRE is desired. Must have knowledge of non
- Rofit fundraising, event planning, and grant writing. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines concurrently. Knowledge of best practices around donor engagement, communications, and volunteer programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Comfortable speaking in front of small as well as large groups

**Responsibilities**:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Strategic development
A) Ensures that philanthropy and fund development are carried out in keeping with the organizations values, mission, vision and plans.
) Implements YWCAs engagement strategy to fully align and strengthen the agencys relationships, mission, policy agenda, program investments, and partnerships.
C) Tracks the effect of internal and external forces on the organization and its fund development, recommends to CDO development programs that support the organizations values, mission and general objectives.
D) Develops a balanced funding mix of donor sources and solicitation programs tailored to the needs of the organization that will enable it to attract, retain and motivate donors and fundraising volunteers.
Fundraising
A) Provides general oversight and implementation of all of the organizations fund development activities, manages the day
- To
- Day operations of the development function, and monitors adequacy of activities through coordination with staff, and appropriate committees.
) Ensures established compliance with the organizations fund development and philanthropic principles, policies and procedures.
A) Ensures attainment of the organizations fund development activities through the engagement, development, motivation and evaluation of volunteers and staff.
) Represents the institution, its board and Chief executive officer to donors, prospects, regulators, committee(s) and fundraising volunteers.
C) Implements and manages all fundraising activities including annual giving campaign, local and national foundations, grant solicitations, and corporate giving,
D) Sustains and expands the agencys in
- Kind revenue opportunities.
E) Works with the CEO, VP Mission Advancement and volunteer leadership to make development committee and the board function effectively, and helps evaluate their fund development performance regularly.
F) Spearheads getting involvement of each board member and each fundraising volunteer; and, stimulates each one to give his/her best fundraising, personally and professionally.
G) Identifies, cultivates, recruits, and develops fundraising volunteers. Trains, places, coordinates and supervises fundraising volunteers and on
- Going activations/engagements.
H) Solicits contributions on behalf of the organization,
I) Oversees grant/proposals for development and writing of foundation, corporate and some government and solicitation materials.
J) Verifies design and implementation of acknowledgment and recognition programs.
Strategic Engagement
A) Facilitates positive and effective relationships with public, private, corporate, philanthropic, and nonprofit sector partners to advance the agencys goals and build the image, including the YWCAs current and future programs and initiatives
) Executes all fund development events, activations and special projects (including the solicitation of sponsorships with the support of the CEO and VP Mission Advancement).
C) Implements engagement strategies to grow the donor base, to include social media, workshops, volunteer opportunities, collaborations, interactives, etc.
Management
A) Leads and supervises the Development Department Coordinator & Manager level staff and operations.
) Maintains and optimizes all of donor, prospect and gift management systems, and informational reports.
A) Creates office systems to support all Development projects and operations.
) Directs sound fiscal operation of development function including timely, accurate and comprehensive assistance with charitable contributions income and expense budgets, reporting, monitoring and implementation.
C) Facilitates and supports development resources in such a way as to maximize quantity and quality to obtain a set of results.
D) Implements personnel accountabilities for direct report development staff and evaluates performance regularly.
E) Collaborates and oversees educational programs in fund development for staff and volunteers; participates as teacher and facilitator.
Public Relations, Marketing, and Communications
A) Drives strong YWCA brand awareness in the South Florida region.
) Targets and cultivates new mission
- Aligned audiences with the intent to grow support.
C) Provides strategies for donor
- Centric communication to VP of Mission Advancement.
D) Facilitates and advises on all public outreach events.
E) Represents YWCA as needed. Be a willing collaborator with other staff in all aspects of the YWCAs mission.
F) Oversees and implements in production of all major publications, including Mission Moment Monday, the YWCA website, coordinating all YWCA programs publication efforts, and works with designers and printers to promote the YWCAs fund and friend raising goals and activities.
G) Generates and utilizes all fundraising materials, membership acquisition and retention, board solicitations, annual fund appeals, annual report, reports to donors, major donor cultivations materials, and donor acknowledgements.
H) Recognizes and reports community relations issues and problems that have an adverse effect on Agencys programs and works with CDO and Communications team to address.
