**OUR MISSION** is to make workers safer and more capable to do their jobs.

**YOUR ROLE** will contribute to our mission through the layout and design of eBooks for our clients. You will layout text, media, graphics, and book functionalities in the books to ensure readability, content balance, and natural flow.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Layout and design eBooks to ensure readability, content balance, and natural flow
- Follow brand guidelines, curate media, and design and layout content
- Track media collected from in-house media trips. Collect media inventory for media curating in the book.
- Design eBooks that are technically focusing. Curating the correct media and graphics, requires an understanding of the technical material.
- Willing and able to work in Williamsburg, VA office. Manager determines eligibility for hybrid work schedule after training.
- Willing and able to travel with media team occasionally, about once a quarter (~3 months).

**SKILLS**
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Knowledge of iBooks Author, photography, and videography is a plus
- Production layout experience in magazines, books, or catalogs is a plus
- Degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Communications, Layout or Graphic Design Associates Degree, or equivalent experience
- Willingness and capacity to learn new skills and information
- Must have a strong eye for design including the use of color, form and typography for reader engagement
- User interface Design experience is a plus
- Illustration skills and experience is a plus
- Professional or academic experience in graphic design and page layout is a plus

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Must be a self-starter who can recognize what needs to be done and do it.
- A college degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Communications, Layout or Graphic Design Associates Degree, Journalism, or equivalent experience; other college degrees will be considered if applicability to layout designer can be shown.
- Be able to give and receive constructive feedback from both client and internal workers
- Must have the willingness and capacity to learn new skills and information.
- Must demonstrate ability to follow brand guidelines, curate media and arrange content, with a strong eye for design including font selection, use of color, and reader engagement.
- Must have demonstrated ability to absorb and design for technical information.
- Must be able to manage workflows of eBook to remain on schedule.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
