Daycare Food Handler

**Daycare Food Handler/Floater**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Certified Safe Food Handler certificate preferred or within 6 months of hire
- High School Diploma
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with staff
- Ability to adhere to tight schedules and set priorities
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to stand for long periods of time

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Distribute all food served in the program, specifically breakfast, lunch and snacks
- Responsible for keeping kitchen, kitchen equipment and food storage areas clean and in good working order within DCFS licensing standards
- Check children’s special dietary needs as allergies to ensure proper food has been delivered
- Set up trays and any serving utensils and distribute food to classrooms
- Wash and dry dishes, pots and pans, load and unload dishwasher
- Keep refrigerator and freezer clean
- Bag and remove garbage daily
- Receive food and other supplies and store in appropriate storage areas
- Duties assigned by director as teacher breaks

3 Letters of recommendation
Pass a background check/fingerprint clearance
COVID vaccinated or submit weekly negative COVID tests

Pay: Salary based on education and experience.
