**Decorator Responsibilities**:

- Assemble, fill, and decorate cakes and cookies according to customer specifications and design requests
- Create visually appealing and unique designs using various techniques and tools
- Ensure all desserts are prepared and decorated promptly to meet customer deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of decorating supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure efficient production and delivery of cakes
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment
- Assist with other bakery tasks as needed, such as baking, packaging, food preparation, and cleaning
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of different cake decorating techniques including piping, fondant, multi-tiered cakes, and sugar flowers
- Knowledge of different cookie decorating techniques including flooding, piping, decorating with royal icing, and royal icing flowers
- Strong attention to detail and efficient decorating skills
- Understanding color theory and having the ability to create specific icing/frosting colors based on an example
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality standards
- Ability to follow recipes, directions, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills to meet customer deadlines
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools, including knives and mixers
- Understanding of food handling and safety regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; friendly and professional demeanor

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Hand use: grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- Standing/walking for extended periods of time
- Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, scissors, mixers, stove/oven

**Job Type: Part-time**
- Expected hours: Approximately 21 hours on Thursday-Saturday. Current schedule needing coverage: Thursdays and Fridays from 9am-5pm and Saturdays from 7am-12pm (noon)
- Pay: $18-$20 per hour depending on experience
- Work location: in-person at 5482 S Ridgewood Ct, Chicago, IL 60615
- Starting date: week of June 17th (preferably)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
