**The Thompson Hollywood is Hiring for a Pool Attendant**

**Summary**:The primary role of a Pool Attendant is to effectively maintain the Hotel’s pool area. This includes but is not limited to: greeting guests, arranging chairs, sun shades for guests’ reasonable specifications, maintaining the comportment of the pool deck, and generally making sure our guests’ needs are met. The job duties require style and service attributes that are key to creating a positive guest experience.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Deliver excellent customer service in an efficient manner.
- Promptly and politely accommodate requests made by guests.
- Collect and replenish pool towels, maintain equipment (pool chairs, heat lamps, pillows, sunshades, etc). Monitor use of facility and addresses and/or reports potential hazards to help ensure guest safety.
- Maintain updated knowledge of hotel and general local area information.
- Act in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guest view.
- Maintain cleanliness of lounge and service areas and ensure work area is orderly and properly stocked.
- Complete assigned duties within each shift.
- Maintain appearance and uniform standards.
- Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors.
- Handle all guest service issues in an immediate and professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 6 months customer service experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Willingness to obtain a CPR certification.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be detail oriented, have high standards, and able to work independently.
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English.
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
- Previous experience working in a similar setting.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks.
- Requires grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
- Full vaccination against COVID-19.

**Please note this is a seasonal position.
