Payroll and Quickbooks Specialist

We are looking for a knowledgeable QuickBooks Specialist with experience in both Desktop and Online versions to process and manage several company's records. You will calculate wages based on hours worked and process payments. The goal is to ensure personnel receives the correct compensation in a timely manner, deposits are recorded and payables are paid. Includes month end reconciliation and reporting.

**Responsibilities**
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee and calculate the tax deductions through the use of Quickbooks payroll
- Prepare and process pay orders through direct deposit or distribute paychecks
- Administer statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paper
- Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
- Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
- Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

**Skills**
- Proven experience as payroll specialist, bookkeeper or Office Manager
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
- Proficient in MS Office and excellent knowledge of Quickbooks software
- Trustworthy and able to keep information confidential
- Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degre or BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
