Director of Information Technology
- **(Hybrid Schedule)**_

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) in Washington, D.C., seeks a Director of Information Technology.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deploy, configure, implement, manage and maintain networking infrastructure (Windows 2012/2016/2019) including routers, switches, firewalls, IP phone system, wireless network and wireless access points
- Responsible for managing network performance and security ensuring security procedures are implemented and enforNetced
- Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance
- Manage software and hardware (servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices) including installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Monitor and manage ticketing system by responding to user requests
- Troubleshoot software issues
- Collaborate with management to implement new technologies and systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
- Monitor network performance networks and proactively identify and resolve potential issues; provide cloud and usages reports and security scans to management
- Ensure network stability and uptime to support business operations
- Document configurations and procedures for future reference
- Update and manage documentation on the network topology, infrastructure services, cabling diagrams, IP address allocations, IP routing/switching, etc
- Participate in special projects as requested
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles and SOPs that will be used by direct report, IT Administrator
- Contribute to testing, implementation, and support of new network technologies
- Budget for network equipment
- Manage MFA and security infrastructure
- Routinely audit security policies and protocols for routers, switches, and firewalls
- Regular patching and firmware updates on all network equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
- Manage active directory - adding users, unlocking accounts
- Manage SharePoint 2013

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Minimum 6-7 years of professional experience with a history of progressive achievement and advancement in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an IT Director, Administrator, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN’s, VPN’s, etc)
- Proficiency in hardware management including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Experience with ticketing systems preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Non-profit experience a plus
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues
- Knowledge of routers and switches
- Experience with both LAN and WAN troubleshooting
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN)

This position is at FAIR’s Washington, DC headquarters. The position is **exempt**, **full-time**. Hybrid Schedule: In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Telework Monday and Friday.
