**Job Description: Packaging Room Team Member**
**Summary**:
Pine River is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, production employee to join our team. As a member of the Production Team, this position covers various production positions including; running the Holmatic Cup Machine, Palletizing and Quality Inspection at the case packer.
**Job Duties**:
- Maintain a clean work environment and follow proper cGMPs (sanitary practices)
- Document lot changes for all packaging components
- Document completion of required CCPs (critical control points)
- Adhere to the Master Sanitation Schedules and document completion
- Work in a team environment to ensure food and human safety standards are met at all times
- Be responsible through visual inspections for quality and regulatory check on cups including:
- Ensure each individual product is wholesome (no crushed cups, lids and legible labels, etc.) and each case has the accurate label and information
- Ensure cups are hermetically sealed (visual and press checks)
- Accurately completing the required number of weight checks (scale checks)
- Ensuring all product goes through a metal detector and completing/documenting metal detector checks throughout production
- Responsible for reporting any food safety issues or concerns to management
- Understanding and following Pine River’s Allergen, hold, and FIFO policies
- Ability to routinely lift full cases of cups and lids (35lbs approximately 3-6 times per hour)
- Identify the need and replenish materials as needed:
- Load boxes into box erector, change tape, case labels and ribbon as needed
- Quickly be able to stack and align cases in the proper formation on pallets:
- Varying case weights: 6lbs, 12lbs, 20lbs, & 30lbs
- 1-10 cases per minute with the most common being 6lbs (10 times per minute).
- Ability to be standing/on your feet for 10-12 hours a day
- Flexibility in scheduling depending on production needs (end time variation) for 6AM-4PM shift
- Operate a pallet-jack as needed (walk behind lift to move full pallets to the cooler)
- Participate in new hire training and annual food safety training
**Qualifications/Skills**:
- A high school diploma or equivalence desired
- Punctual / Detail oriented
- Remains calm, has a positive attitude, treats others with respect, communicates appropriately
- Food or cheese manufacturing, sanitation, and machine operation are highly desired
**Requirements**:
Successful completion of a pre-employment/post-offer physical test is required for this position to ensure you can physically perform the job safely.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
