**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and report on the NY Highway system status
- Share information with department stakeholders and partner agencies
- Take reports on all bus, rail and aviation incidents in the state.
- Support the department’s emergency response efforts

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- High school diploma / GED or higher
- Traffic operations and/or emergency operations dispatching with at least one (1) of the following groups/agencies: Transportation, Fire, Police, EMS, 911, or similar experience in the Military** OR**
- Two (2) plus years of customer service or retail experience

**Knowledge Skills and Abilities**:

- Oral and written communication
- Capable of working with co-workers and NYSDOT staff
- Using roadway maps, have basic knowledge of roadway elements
- Able to respond to difficult/evolving problems and situations
