**Group Delta **is looking for an exceptional **Field Technician **to join our **Environmental division. **The Field Technician will perform environmental field monitoring at potentially multiple sites in the Southern California region for up to three (3) years. This role requires landfill Perimeter and Working Face Air Monitoring in compliance with SCAQMD Rules 403 and 1150 and includes the preparation of field notes, uploading and summarizing of monitoring data, and coordination with project managers. This role has the potential to grow into a staff level position where the employee can be trained to perform other environmental tasks including, but not limited to, asbestos and lead-based paint certifications and environmental site assessment/remediation. This position may require working overtime (up to 12 hours per day).

**What you’ll do**:

- Understand environmental and health & safety regulations and perform work in a compliant manner with the regulations for all fieldwork and comply with Group Delta’s IIPP
- Procure materials, equipment, and supplies for projects
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively at all levels
- Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and explain work
- General office assistance such as filling out paperwork and submitting reports
- Air monitoring services
- Use testing equipment and special field apparatuses; interpret results
- Must have a strong safety attitude
- Read and understand OSHA safety regulations and perform all tasks safely
- Other related duties and responsibilities, as required

- Proficient at writing technical reports
- Basic math, mechanical, teamwork and troubleshooting skills are required
