**Position Summary**: The Maître D's top priority is controlling the flow at the front door and the level of business inside the venue. The Maitre D’ will be responsible for ensuring that the host staff is greeting and seating guests in a professional manner and ensuring 100% satisfaction.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Leads the host team in assigning seating considering service standards, staffing levels and kitchen capacity when necessary.
- Ensures that the host stand is set up to standards before service begins and ensures general cleanliness and orderliness of the area throughout the shift.
- Reviews the reservation book to ensure a smooth flow of service in guest seating.
- Assists with incoming calls, answers questions from guests and confirms reservations
- Communicate large group booking inquiries and overbookings with the management team.
- Ensures that reservations are sat promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party; assists the host team in seating tables as necessary.
- Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
- Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
- Protects establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
- Any other duties assigned.

**Requirements**:
**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motions.

**Skills/Experience**:

- At least two (2) years in a Lead Host or Maitre D’/Reservationist role; experience in a membership-based company a plus.
- Must have extensive knowledge of reservation platform.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays when required.
- Must have valid, non-expired Food Handlers’ card.
