Global hospitality firm Altamarea Group is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maitre D’ to join the opening team for Marea Beverly Hills, the first expansion of the iconic Marea in the U.S. outside New York.

Meaning “tide” in Italian, Marea charts the tide for restaurant culture, with exquisite food and unmatched service that set the stage for an experience like no other. The flagship concept for the Altamarea Group and an anchor of Central Park South, Marea is a dining destination and a New York City institution with an award-winning kitchen helmed by Corporate Executive Chef, Lauren DeSteno, and Executive Chef PJ Calapa. Maitre D’ responsibilities include:

- Greet upon arrival and interact with guests in a professional, warm and courteous manner
- Develop guest relationships and clientele through superior service and enhancing the guest experience
- Manage the volume at the door to maximize business
- Navigate reservations platform and client database proficiently
- Train, develop and motivate all staff to uphold Altamarea Group standards of excellence, with a special emphasis on the front door and reservations teams
- Organize, supervise and execute shifts
- Respond promptly and accurately to all client matters
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, staff, vendors and all other constituents
- Comply with all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to safety, health, jurisdictional laws, and labor compliance

Maitre D’ Requirements:

- At least 2 years of relevant restaurant management experience and fluency in all applicable jurisdictional laws and regulations
- Strong background in and passion for hospitality and deep knowledge of fine dining service standards
- Must be capable, trustworthy, have integrity and excellent communication skills
- Must have open availability and able to work flexible hours
- Physical requirements include but not limited to the ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 50lbs, and to stand, walk up and downstairs, and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time

Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 per year, based on experience
