**As the Facilities Director **, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of all aspects of the physical plant; the hiring, training, and supervising of all plant personnel; the coordinating of life safety and security programs; the procuring of supplies, material, and equipment, and assisting with budget preparation and operating within budgetary guidelines.
**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES**:
- Establishes routine and preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment and buildings.
- Supervises the performance of landscaping, maintenance and security personnel through inspections and other quality assurance procedures.
- Selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines all plant personnel.
- Maintains the operation of emergency medical and power generating equipment.
- Coordinates and supervises painting and refurbishing efforts as needed.
- Maintains the fire and life safety equipment in the Community.
- Implements established emergency policies and procedures.
- Coordinates work of the department with other departments.
- Advises and consults with the Executive Director on maintenance and repair needs concerning the building, equipment, and grounds.
- Inspects all equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety. Inspects building and grounds regularly for compliance with local codes, ordinances, and safety regulations.
- Delegates authority to staff for task details to facilitate smooth flow of materials and services.
**OTHER DUTIES**:
- Monitors Infection Control Guidelines within the Department.
- Orders necessary parts, supplies, chemicals, fuel, etc.
- Implements and monitors a Community Safety Program.
- Serves as "Fire Safety Coordinator" for the Community.
- Prepares and maintains required records, reports, analyses, and studies.
- Participates in the research, preparation and writing of department budget.
- Operates the department within budget guidelines.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- High School education required with thorough knowledge of plant operations and engineering. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- At least five years’ experience in plant engineering and/or trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, refrigeration, ground maintenance, masonry, or maintenance. Three years supervisory experience preferred.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS**:
Must be able to move throughout the building and grounds as needed throughout the day; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Good visual and hearing acuity required; good verbal communication skills required. Must be free of communicable disease; may be exposed to communicable diseases, and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and offensive odors.

**Pay Range**:$ 100,000 - $120,000, plus bonus potential
