Job Summary:
The Intake & Resource Facilitator provides support to the Continuum of Care for Resource Facilitation program by offering resources, referral, support and if appropriate, provides connections to the other BIANYS support services including the FACTS Program, Support Groups, and Chapters. He/she will create, maintain, and update a comprehensive information and referral database that will be utilized for those who seek information from BIANYS. The Intake Resource Facilitator will gather appropriate data and serve as a liaison to the appropriate staff person. In addition, The Intake & Resource Facilitator will have oversight and administrative tasks related to the operations of the Chapters and Support Groups. He/she will engage leadership and participants to properly adhere to chapter/support group guidelines.

**Duties**:

- Create, maintain, and update online Information and Referral Database within Salesforce System as part of the Continuum of Care for Resource Facilitation.
- Represent at meetings and be the point person for NBIIC.
- Create contacts and cases within the COC system.
- Train staff on I&R Database and update on a quarterly basis.
- Serve as a liaison to BIANYS staff to support a successful outcome.
- Provide oversight and support to chapter and support group facilitators, both staff and volunteer leadership.
- Respond to inquiries both from the Helpline and website; serve as the point of entry to all inquiries.

**Experience**:
The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications.

1. Associate degree (Bachelor’s Preferred) in human services, rehabilitation counseling, social work, intake/discharge planning, or other related fields.

2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in the non-profit sector.

3. Familiarity with industry best practices and standards of resource facilitation.

4. Ability to problem solve and experience with conflict resolution

5. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

6. Experience with public speaking and the ability to conduct training and presentations.

7. Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

8. Possess team motivation skills and the ability to motivate staff, volunteers and board.

9. Ability to work as a team and collaborate with other departments.

Hours are Typically, Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:00, however, this position has varying working hours depending on scheduling of presentations and events. Staff travel across NYS is required and requires use of a personal vehicle.

Must obtain CBIS (Certified Brain Injury Specialist) credential and maintain renewal annually. Staff are reimbursed for all fees associated with this certification.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
