We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Dispatcher to join our dynamic team.
As a Fire Alarm Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in our fire safety operations. You will be responsible for monitoring fire alarm systems, responding to emergency calls, and coordinating with fire department personnel and other emergency services. Your quick thinking and efficient communication will be vital in ensuring timely responses to fire emergencies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Monitor and respond to fire alarm signals received from various fire alarm systems.
- Dispatch fire department personnel and emergency services to reported fire incidents.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of alarm activations, dispatches, and other related activities.
- Communicate effectively with fire department personnel, building managers, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Stay updated on fire safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
- Participate in training sessions and drills to maintain a high level of preparedness.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in fire science or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in emergency services dispatch is preferred.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and dispatch software.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and emergency response protocols is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
