The Sports & Entertainment Division (SED) is an essential part of Events DC’s world class Event Venue operations, playing a key role in driving customer participation to Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the Nation’s Capital. The Sports & Entertainment Booking (SEB) Manager will work in collaboration with multiple teams throughout Events DC to drive this participation and revenue generation. The incumbent will also collaborate directly with the Director of Booking (Director), to develop and document procedural processes that support revenue growth for our business.

This position will report directly to the Director of Sports and Entertainment Booking and will include oversight and management of subordinate employees within the department.
- RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision and execution of the event booking process to ensure maximum efficiency and accountability of venue rentals at the RFK and St. Elizabeth’s Campuses and within the department.
- Identify, solicit, evaluate, or peruse incoming leads and secure programming for the RFK and the St. Elizabeth's Campuses.
- Produce detailed proposals, presentations or reports for the CEO and Board, lead the initiative to prepare and submit potential bids for large scale events.
- Arranges for and conducts facility tours and site inspections for potential and/or confirmed clients.
- Provide a report of event attendance, expense, revenue, and ROI for events at SED venues.
- Maintain an effective and productive working relationship within the Events DC Booking department personnel and promote positive collaboration with Events DC operations, facilities, meeting services, housekeeping, catering, technology services, and communications departments.
- Prepare and submit venue cost estimate and venue rental contracts. Work with Senior Contracts Administrator for the timely execution of documents.
- CRM data and Venue Calendar maintenance within Ungerboeck.
- Represents Events DC at tradeshows and meetings under the supervision of the Director, SEB.
- Assists the Director, SEB, Senior Director, Business Development and the Senior Vice President & Managing Director of Division with request or special projects as required.
- Fulfills managerial responsibilities in accordance with Events DC policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Performs other client/customer‑related special tasks and duties as assigned.
- QUALIFICATIONS: Five (5) years’ experience and knowledge in the Sports and Entertainment industry booking and contract negotiation, preferably in a large arena setting or multi venue campus.
- Minimum 2 years of prior managerial skills - experience managing a high-performance team.
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field; or equivalent experience.
